This one-of-a-kind slab is cut from a jarrah burl.
The surface features a dense, swirling grain with a combination of tight eyes, flame-like patterns, and clusters of natural voids. The coloration is classic Jarrah burl: a vibrant reddish-orange heartwood, with darker maroon and brown tones throughout. The limb running through the centre of the burl out to the edge and over like it was consumed by the burl over time. Rotten timber from that limb has created darker knots, opened cracks and a water rippling type feature in the grain adding contrast and character to the slab.
The shape is highly organic and asymmetrical with a natural live edge all the way around. There are several small bark inclusions and holes, making it ideal for resin work or keeping natural for a rustic look. Truly a visual representation of the art and beauty in nature.
